Language is more than just a tool — it’s the blueprint for your future. I am Edward Cheng, a seasoned educator and literary expert with over 40 years of global experience in language mastery. From the lecture halls of West Africa to the digital classrooms of the United States, I have dedicated my life to one goal: transforming Multilingual Learners (MLLs) into confident, career-ready communicators.

The Architect’s Foundation: Academic Authority

My expertise is rooted in a strong academic background. With a BA in TESOL from Fourah Bay College (Sierra Leone) and an MA in TESOL from the University of Yaoundé (Cameroon), I bring a knowledgeable, research-supported approach to every student I mentor.

Before coming to the U.S., I played a key role in the Cameroonian educational system. I taught and assessed Literature in English at both high school and university levels. My contributions to the field include:

• Published Author: Co-author of a definitive Prose and Poetry Appreciation handbook and critical advanced-level literature texts used by thousands of students.
• Master Examiner: I advanced through the ranks of the Cameroon General Certificate of Education (GCE) Examination Board, serving as an Assistant Chief Examiner.

The Philosophy of Empowerment

I believe that developing speaking and listening skills is the key that drives reading, writing, and critical thinking. When you master the art of spoken communication, you unlock the ability to think clearly and write convincingly.
